My name is Henry van Essen. I am specialised in education and labour law and I’m at home in the worlds of education and government. I work for educational institutions, (local) government and businesses.

I assist schools in complaint procedures and procedures regarding admission, suspension, expulsion, appropriate education and social security. I also advise and litigate with regard to the Compulsory Education Act.

In addition, I advise and litigate regarding a variety of labour law issues, such as dismissal, dysfunction, labour conflicts and (changes in) employment conditions. I also advise and litigate on competition law, collective labour agreement law, transfer of undertakings and employee participation.

As a lawyer I work fast and I am motivated and precise. I attach great value to a good relationship with my clients and I like to proactively contribute to their thinking. I am up to date with what’s going on in education and government.
