Maarten van Nijendaal, who graduated from Leiden University, has been working as a lawyer for Nysingh since 2016. Maarten is mainly engaged in environmental law and spatial planning. He is also a member of the Government & Privacy team and he offers advice about the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Maarten likes to really sink his teeth into a case. Solving the problems of clients who are unable to do so themselves is a challenge he is eager to accept every time. Maarten also stays on top of developments in his field of expertise. He publishes monthly articles about topicalities in the field of privacy law for authorities.
The best way to describe Maarten would be enthusiastic and fanatical. These characteristics not only show through in his job as a lawyer; in his spare time, Maarten likes to spend time on the hockey field, both as a player and as a trainer/coach.
