My name is Jonathan Overes and I specialise in complex insurance and liability issues. My services are geared towards businesses, public authorities and healthcare institutions as well as their insurance brokers and the insurers themselves.
Over the years, I have acquired specialised expertise in insurance law and a broad range of insurance products. In particular fire insurance, on which I wrote a doctoral thesis at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In this 600-plus page book I offer an in-depth look at the legal world underlying common fire insurance conditions. I have also accumulated special expertise and experience in other important types of insurance, such as corporate liability (AVB/GL), professional liability (BAV/PI), directors’ liability (D&O) and CAR insurance.
I also specialise in, and have considerable experience with, many liability issues, particularly those involving tangible harm (such as fire damage, product damage and construction damage) and financial loss (such as professional liability and directors’ liability) and class actions.
