Wilco Nieuwenhuis

Attorney at law
To contact details

My name is Wilco Nieuwenhuis. I’m at home in the fields of government, education and care – with specialisations in labour law and civil service law. The Normalisation of legal status of civil servants act (WNRA) now allows me to combine these two specialised fields. I mainly work for municipalities and educational institutions, but I also frequently represent provinces, healthcare institutions and businesses.

I advise and litigate with regard to a variety of labour law issues, such as dismissal, illness and reintegration, reorganisation and employee participation. I’m also well at home in social insurance law (ZW, WIA and WW). I have a special interest in matters relating to illness and occupational disability and frequently bring objection and appeal procedures against the Employment Insurance Agency UWV.

I give regular training courses in the field of labour law – for example via the Dutch municipalities association (VNG). These training courses are highly appreciated by the participants, particularly for the clear language used, the generous opportunities for questions and my to-the-point answers.

My clients know me as an approachable and committed advisor. Following thorough analysis I work closely with my clients to find a solution. I take a common-sense approach and I am clear about what can and cannot be achieved. I do not like unnecessary fuss.

It is apparent from our website that my colleagues and I know our way around government, education and healthcare. We regularly share our knowledge via blogs, (online) seminars, newsletters and at events.

Interested in what I can do for you? Please feel free to contact me.
