Our colleague Wim Weterings has been appointed as Endowed Professor of Business & Insurance Law at Erasmus School of Law (Erasmus University Rotterdam), effective 1 March 2026. Within this chair in the Department of Law & Business, he focuses on the interaction between businesses and insurance law. He pays particular attention to the role of commercial insurance in responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship. Topics such as climate and ESG risks, as well as cyber risks, are key areas of focus.
Through his academic background and extensive practical experience as counsel at Nysingh, Wim brings valuable expertise to this role. His position within both legal practice and academia enables him to identify current developments and incorporate them into his research and teaching.
