My name is Femia van Wijk and I specialise in employment law, which I have extensive experience with. I advise and litigate on entering into, amending and terminating employment contracts, non-competition clauses, flexible employment relationships, incapacity for work and employee participation. In addition, I supervise acquisitions and reorganisation and advise on transfers of undertaking. I also redraft employment contracts, regulations and management contracts. I do this for companies, institutions, directors and managers. I also increasingly advise and litigate on transgressive behaviour and whistle-blower issues.
In addition to my work as a lawyer, I am also a mediator registered with the Dutch Federation of Mediators Foundation. As a mediator I act as a representative in disputes between employers and employees, within family businesses and within collaborative ventures such as partnerships and boards.
Although I have worked in employment law for dozens of years, I never get bored with it. Quite the contrary, I am met with exciting challenges on a regular basis. My approach is informal, resolute, quick and solution-oriented. I believe it is important to meet my client’s expectations.
My colleagues and I regularly share our employment law knowledge and expertise on our website as well as in newsletters and at on- and offline seminars and various live events.
Feel free to contact me if you’re curious to know how I can be of service to you.
