My name is Thijmen de Niet. I specialise in liability, insurance and compensation law. I advise and litigate in various areas including government liability, employer’s liability and personal injury.

I obtained master’s degrees in Financial Economics and Civil Law at Radboud University. I decided to study law because of the ingenuity it requires to find different paths to an end goal and to consider multiple perspectives. The crucial role that language plays in law also appeals to me.

Before joining Nysingh, I did internships at a number of large and international law firms, where I gained experience as a legal assistant working on major civil cases, including mass tort actions, some of which were conducted before the Supreme Court.

What sets me apart is a combination of legal expertise with a practical and strategic approach. I translate complex issues into clear and practicable solutions that add value. My economic background also enables me to get to close grips with the financial dimensions of a case, enabling me to sharply assess interests both legally and in business terms and thus achieve a broad, sustainable result.
