Legal Assistant specialising in expropriation law
My name is Macy Groenendaal. I specialise in expropriation law, area development, environmental law, (notarial) real estate law and contract law. Drawing on this knowledge, I assist with matters relating to expropriation, pre-emptive rights, obligations to tolerate, the Open Government Act and the notarial real estate practice, working mainly for public authorities such as municipalities, water boards and water companies.
My background of studying law at a university of applied sciences means that I like to take a practical approach to cases. In 2025, I completed the Course in Expropriation Law (CPO) cum laude. This course further deepened my knowledge of expropriation law. I am also a member of the Dutch Expropriation Law Association (VvOR) and assist the association with administrative tasks.
As a legal assistant, I work meticulously, with an eye for detail, while driving case progress forward. I prefer a structured approach and direct lines of communication, which allow me to work efficiently and keep track of various cases. I love that my work allows me to assist clients in making the right choices throughout what are often complex legal processes. I aim to be an approachable and dedicated point of contact so that legal support remains accessible and clients quickly know exactly where they stand.
