My name is Justine Takx. I work as an independent lawyer for Nysingh and I am at home in intellectual property law (IP). I advise on the (inter)national protection of IP rights and assist parties in disputes concerning these rights. I also draw up IP-related contracts, such as licence agreements and collaborative agreements. I have extensive experience of international IP issues like international infringement cases and parallel import.
I’m also specialised in media and advertising law. In this field I advise on the acceptance of advertising and other communication in both traditional and social media. I also appear in matters before the Advertising Code Committee and in civil litigation.
I work for large and medium-sized companies, including various retail chains, owners of well-known brands, design and advertising agencies and government institutions. My clients can be found in numerous sectors, with an emphasis on fashion, lifestyle and design companies.
Before I started as an independent lawyer vor Nysingh, I was joining Nysingh in 2019 I worked for several large law firms in the United States and in Amsterdam, and for several major (sports) brands and retailers. This experience has enabled me to develop an approach that is accessible and pragmatic.
